Greater than 15 pets have been blessed on Sunday on the Second Avenue International Methodist Church. (June 30, 2024)
ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Second Avenue International Methodist Church invited folks to deliver their pets for an outside blessing on Sunday.
It was the primary time that the church ever did one thing like this. There have been a complete of 17 pets: 16 canine and one bunny.
“Animals are a particular blessing from God. And there are family members that unconditional love and assist they present is really a blessing, as my canine referred to as me. So we did this blessing to simply remind those that God blesses his youngsters after they love On his creation,” Lead Pastor Brian Sandell mentioned.
The blessing began at 3:30 p.m. with introductions of everybody’s pet. After, the pastor prayed for every animal and requested for power for them.
“You don’t know the way lengthy you’ll have them and permit them to – to bless you. Make good widespread sense selections and when you’re going to personal a pet, be sure you’re prepared for the accountability,” Sandell mentioned.
