UPDATE #2 @ 1026 UK time – N772AN, the plane concerned on this emergency, is a 25 12 months previous Boeing 777-223ER that was delivered to the U.S service again in March 1999, as per information from Planespotters.
Of the 777-200 variant, the U.S service has 47 of them within the fleet, of which 44 are in energetic service and three are parked, providing a median fleet age of 23.2 years.

UPDATE #6 @ 1039 UK time – American Airways flight AA63 is continuous it’s descent out of FL310 because the plane will get nearer to Paris. Nonetheless unclear why the Miami-bound flight has declared an emergency.

UPDATE #7 @ 1050 UK time – AA63 initiates the bigger chunk of the descent because the plane will get nearer to CDG for touchdown.
UPDATE #8 @ 1051 UK time – @FlightEmergency on X confirms that the reason for the emergency is because of a gas leak onboard the American Airways Boeing 777 that was initially sure for Miami.
